EfficiNet X Selected for Plug and Play Japan’s Summer 2025 Batch

EfficiNet X was selected as one of 51 startups from Japan and overseas for the Summer 2025 Batch, an accelerator program organized by Plug and Play Japan.

EfficiNet X was selected for the Energy program and presented its concept for a “Fully Autonomous, Decentralized Multi-Agent Virtual Power Plant (VPP).”

As renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power become more widespread, Japan needs new ways to manage and use electricity. Under EfficiNet X’s proposed VPP model, AI agents installed in individual buildings forecast electricity demand and negotiate with AI agents in other buildings. This coordination allows buildings to balance electricity consumption and battery charging and discharging, ultimately enabling more efficient energy use across the entire city.
